Jens-Christian Rabe has been an author and editor for the cultural section (Feuilleton) since 2007. In his work as a literary and pop critic, he tries to determine whether Adorno was right when he wrote that the imbecility of the whole consists of nothing but common sense – or whether it might actually be quite the opposite. He has published major essays with Suhrkamp Verlag on Slavoj Žižek ("Philosophy as Telesport") and the hatred of hipsters ("Presentness as Phantasma"), with Kiepenheuer & Witsch on Maxim Biller ("The Injustice"), with Diaphanes on Susan Sontag ("Hip Susan"), and in the Zeitschrift für Ideengeschichte on Adorno ("Keep Smiling").
