The greatest fantasy epic of our time on the Blue Sofa: On May 27, 2025, acclaimed voice artist Stefan Kaminski will come to Gütersloh to present the audiobook experience of the year.
The award-winning narrator spent a total of 100 days in the recording studio to read the 7,000-page text of the multi-volume fantasy epic “A Game of Thrones” by George R. R. Martin.
Gently modernized and adapted to the English pronunciation of the original HBO series, Stefan Kaminski transforms every scene into a powerful listening experience. He brings characters like Jon Snow to life and takes us to enchanting places such as King’s Landing and the Eyrie.
With a keen ear for detail, Kaminski builds George R. R. Martin’s world in the minds of his listeners into a breathtaking auditory adventure. He whispers intrigue, shouts commands, roars and murmurs, all while staying true to the characters. With great skill, he gives voice to the inhabitants of Westeros – from the jovial Robert Baratheon to the quick-witted Tyrion Lannister and even the cawing ravens.
In his performance at Theater Gütersloh, Kaminski will read passages from the gripping saga in a variety of voices and bring the people of Westeros to life. He will also speak about the elaborate production process behind the audiobook project.
