The Blue Sofa at the 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair – Top- authors at the Opening of the OPEN BOOKS Reading Festival

On October 14, 2025, OPEN BOOKS, the reading festival at the Frankfurt Book Fair, will once again open with a Blue Sofa event. Joining the event are Middle East expert and award-winning journalist Natalie Amiri (The Middle East Complex. Of People, Dreams and Destruction, Penguin), and authors Katerina Poladjan (Goldstrand, S. Fischer) and Kaleb Erdmann (The Alternative School, park x ullstein). In addition, the newly announced winner of the 2025 German Book Prize will make their first major public appearance here.

The Blue Sofa in Frankfurt am Main is jointly hosted by Bertelsmann, the Frankfurt am Main Cultural Office, and the German National Library (Deutsche Nationalbibliothek).
