Translated by Ursel Allenstein

On an ordinary day in early June, time comes to a standstill. Nobody dies, nobody is born anymore. The new eternity changes people's attitude to life: Pensioner Margo wants to celebrate life and go traveling - but her plant-loving husband Otto doesn't want to leave his balcony flowers alone. For photographer Jenny, there is nothing better than spending the time she has been given with her family at their summer house. Nevertheless, she is plagued by the feeling that she is missing something important. And nurse Eva experiences the worry of pregnant women who don't know when their babies will be born. All over the country, people are puzzling over why people have fallen out of time. Is it a virus, an ancient spell or a conspiracy by evil forces? And why does the cycle of growth and decay in nature continue unabated?

In her new great novel, Maja Lunde writes sensitively and with great warmth about life in the now, our own finiteness and our connection to nature.
