Dominik Pöll was born on December 22, 1970 in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, where he spent the first four years of his life. After his parents moved to Bavaria, he completed his school education there and discovered his love for radio. After a traineeship at a local radio station, he studied journalism at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and worked for various radio stations and newspapers.

After completing his studies, he switched to Bayerischer Rundfunk, where he subsequently worked as a reporter, editor and finally as a presenter. First mainly on the radio, then also on TV. He is particularly passionate about various talk and interview formats.

In addition to his work in the media industry, Dominik Pöll is also involved in social projects, in particular supporting disadvantaged children and young people in his home town.

He now lives in the south of Munich and enjoys spending his free time on a sailing boat in the Mediterranean.
